Abstract

|
This study was conducted to measure and compare the score of social readjustment and ways of coping of the cancer patient and the healthy. The score of social readjustment and Ways of coping of the 168 subjects were measured and analyzed from October 1st, 1996 to February 15, 1997.
The results of the study were as follow.
1. Average social readjustment score of the cancer patient was 166.24 and the health was 115.98 . There was significant difference in the average score between the cancer patient and the healty
2. The total scores of ways of coping in the cancer patient were lower than of the healthy.(The cancer patient: 75.31 The health: 88.87)
3. The scores of the problem oriented ways of coping in the cancer patients were lower than those of the healthy.(The cancer patient: 27.18 The healthy: 33.93)
